Can't copy paste keyframes from more than one property within the same layer

AE 26.2.1 and 26.0

MACOS 26.5 (25F71)

 

This happens when an animated property is added to Essential Properties.

In the original comp, keyframes from several tracks can be copied and pasted in one go.

But when the comp is inside a parent comp, the same keyframes have to be copied and pasted one by one. When several properties’ keyframes are selected, copy paste does nothing.

    Hey Nishu. Safe mode didn’t help unfortunately.

      Before I flag this to the product team, a couple of quick clarifications:

      1. Which properties are involved? (e.g., Position + Scale, or custom-exposed properties like sliders?)

      2. When you select multiple properties and copy/paste does nothing, are there any error messages?

      3. A short screen recording of the behavior would help engineering reproduce it quickly.

        It seems to only affect properties exposed through Essential Properties. Regular keyframes like transform or opacity work fine.

        There’s no error message or anything, just a quiet fail. Copying the properties one by one works, but trying to copy more than that, nothing happens.

        Thanks for getting back. I tried to replicate the issue on my end, but it seems to be working fine. Do you mind sharing a project file or a screen recording? That’ll help us understand the issue better and start troubleshooting.

        In the meantime, try running After Effects in Safe Mode and see if it works.
