Centered zoom unexpectedly follows the cursor when an open Shape Path endpoint is selected with the Pen Tool / 開いたシェイプパスの端点選択時に「中央」ズームがカーソル位置を基準にしてしまう

Issue

When Magnification Behavior is set to Centered, zooming unexpectedly follows the mouse cursor when the first or last vertex of an open Shape Path is selected with the Pen Tool.

This does not occur when using the Selection Tool.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to Preferences > Previews > Magnification and set Behavior to Centered.

2. Create a new project and composition.

3. Create a Shape Layer.

4. Using the Pen Tool, draw an open path with three or more vertices.

5. Keep the Pen Tool active.

6. Select the first or last vertex of the open path, or leave the last vertex selected after drawing the path.

7. Move the mouse cursor away from the selected vertex.

8. Zoom in or out using the mouse wheel or the . / , keys.

Expected result

The Composition viewer should zoom around the center of the panel, according to the Centered magnification preference.

Actual result

The view moves rapidly toward the current mouse cursor position while zooming, as if cursor-centered zoom were being used.

The issue:

• occurs with both the first and last vertex of an open path;

• does not appear to occur on an intermediate vertex;

• occurs with both Smooth and Legacy magnification;

• occurs with the mouse wheel and also with the . / , keyboard shortcuts;

• occurs only while the Pen Tool is active;

• does not reproduce with the Selection Tool;

• temporarily behaves correctly if Space is held while zooming.

Additional testing

The issue also reproduces:

• in a completely new project

• in After Effects Safe Mode

  • with default preferences

  • with scripts and extensions disabled

  • with third-party plug-ins disabled

In Safe Mode, the default magnification behavior did not initially make the problem obvious. After changing Magnification Behavior to Centered, the same abnormal movement reproduced immediately.

概要

環境設定の「拡大」の動作を 「中央」 に設定しているにもかかわらず、ペンツール使用中に、開いたシェイプパスの始点または終点を選択している場合のみ、拡大縮小の中心が現在のマウスカーソル位置になってしまいます。

選択ツールでは発生しません。

再現手順

1. 環境設定 > プレビュー > 拡大 の 動作 を 中央 に設定します。

2. 新規プロジェクト、新規コンポジションを作成します。

3. シェイプレイヤーを作成します。

4. ペンツールで、3点以上の 閉じていないパス を作成します。

5. ペンツールのままにします。

6. なにもしなければ終点が選択されたままかと思いますが、開いたパスの 始点または終点 を選択します

7. マウスカーソルを、選択した頂点とは別の位置へ移動します。

8. マウスホイール、または . / , キーで拡大縮小します。

期待する結果

「動作：中央」の設定どおり、コンポジションパネルの中央を基準に拡大縮小される。

実際の結果

拡大縮小時に、ビューが 現在のマウスカーソル位置へ急激に移動し、カーソル位置を基準に拡大縮小しているような動作になります。

以下の条件を確認しています。

• 開いたパスの 始点・終点の両方 で発生

• シェイプの中間の頂点では発生しない

• 設定で、Smooth / Legacy の両方 で発生

• マウスホイールでの拡大縮小でも、 . / , キーでも発生

• ペンツール使用中のみ 発生

• 選択ツールでは発生しない

• Space キーを押しながら拡大縮小すると、正常に中央基準で動作する

追加確認

以下の条件でも再現しました。

• 完全な新規プロジェクト

• After Effects の セーフモード

  • デフォルト環境設定

  • スクリプト・拡張機能を無効化

  • サードパーティ製プラグインを無効化

セーフモードでは初期状態の拡大動作が「中央」ではないため一見問題が分かりにくいですが、拡大の動作を「中央」に変更すると、同じ異常な移動がすぐに再現します。
