Copy Layer in Timeline changes Project Panel view

When Copying a layer in the timeline to the clipboard, the project panel reacts with a random scroll. This feels like something uncontrolled went wrong.

 

Reproduce this: 

-Project with a lot of (opened) folders and footage

-Timeline with several layers

-scroll to somewhere half way the project items

-select a layer in the Timeline

-choose 'Copy'

-see how project panel view changes

Can you try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled and see if that brings any change? If it doesn't, please check if it's happening in this specific project or any project.
