Critical Bug: Shortcuts Register Twice in After Effects on macOS with Korean IME / 한글 입력기 단축키 버그

I am writing to report a critical bug that severely impacts After Effects users on macOS who use the Korean language input method (IME). When the input source is set to Korean, nearly all shortcuts register twice, which breaks the fundamental user workflow.

Environment:

• Software: Adobe After Effects (Latest official and Beta versions)

• Operating System: macOS (reproducible on all recent versions)

• Input Method: Korean (Hangul)

• Plugins: This issue occurs on a clean installation with no third-party plugins.
  

Steps to Reproduce: On a macOS system, set the keyboard input source to "Korean."

Launch Adobe After Effects and create a new composition.

Press the Tab key.

The Mini-Flowchart for the active composition will appear and then immediately disappear.

...or Create a text layer and type something. While editing, press the Backspace key once.

Expected Result:

• Pressing Tab should open the Mini-Flowchart and keep it open.

• Pressing Backspace should delete a single character.

Actual Result:

• The Mini-Flowchart opens and immediately closes, as if the key were pressed twice in rapid succession.

• Pressing Backspace once deletes two characters.

Impact and Clarification:
To be clear, this is not a hardware issue with my keyboard. The problem disappears completely when the input source is switched to English. All shortcuts function perfectly as expected in the English IME.

This bug specifically targets and critically breaks the workflow for all Korean-speaking users on macOS. It turns simple, muscle-memory actions into frustrating hurdles. We are forced to constantly fight the software to perform the most basic tasks.

I have found a forum thread where an Adobe employee suggested switching the input method to English as a workaround. With all due respect, this is not a viable or acceptable solution. It is unreasonable to expect users to constantly change their system's input method, which disrupts all other tasks, just to use After Effects properly.

This is a severe usability issue that has been affecting the Korean user base for a long time. We urgently need a fundamental fix.

• Tab 키를 누르면 미니 흐름도가 열리고, 그대로 유지되어야 합니다.

• Backspace 키를 누르면 글자가 한 개만 지워져야 합니다.

실제 결과:

• 미니 흐름도가 열리자마자 바로 닫힙니다. 마치 Tab 키가 빠르게 두 번 눌린 것처럼 동작합니다.

이것은 제 키보드의 하드웨어 문제가 아닙니다. 입력기를 '영어'로 바꾸면 이 모든 문제가 완전히 사라지며, 모든 단축키가 정상적으로 한 번만 작동합니다.

이 버그는 macOS에서 한국어로 작업하는 모든 사용자의 작업 흐름을 방해하는 중대한 문제입니다. 손에 익은 간단한 단축키 조작조차 불가능하게 만들어 매번 사용자를 좌절시킵니다. 가장 기본적인 작업을 하기 위해 소프트웨어와 싸워야 하는 상황입니다.
