custom UI / Arb params glitching in Ae 2025 but not 2024

Has anyone else had their working custom UI and/or arb params start to flicker in Ae 2025? From what I can gather, it's affected multiple devs work including red giant, rowbyte, irrealix, aesweets and my own. Example UI flicker in trapcode particular 

The symptoms are intermittent flickering, and if there are multiple custom params modifying one can cause the other to flicker. All these examples are working as expected in Ae 2024. 

 

In my case it is affecting custom UIs drawn with both drawbot and cairo. It is also affecting custom UI params, not just arb params. I've tried:

setting / not setting PF_PUI_DONT_ERASE_CONTROL

Removing the update param UI selector

 

Any ideas?

Thanks again for helping us validate the fix in beta. 
This glitching issue is now fixed in the new After Effects 25.2. release.

Please let us know if you're still experiencing it after upgrading.

    Hi @James Whiffin and @FxFactory,

     

    Can you still repro this issue on macOS? The latest build with the fix should be 25.2.0x98, but if you don't see it in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, then you might need to check again later today.

    We’re seeing the corruption on our products too (all Mac) but for at least one customer, the glitches are followed by After Effects downright crashing. Any idea if this problem has already been addressed in the public Beta?

    Hi James,
    Thanks for reaching out! This is likely from one of two recent major updates to the way third party panels draw. One is limited to MacOS and one is limited to Windows. From the cursor screen recording it looks like you're seeing the problem on MacOS--does it also reproduce on windows?
