Disabled Expressions do not update when Reference Layers are Changed or Renamed

Not sure if this is new.

I have a hundred layers using SampleImage to set scale from a map layer precomp.

One of the layers had its expression disabled.

I replaced the map layer by alt dragging  with a different precomp, and the expressions updated.

They did not update on the layer with the disabled expression.

This is also the case if thereference layer is renamed

Has this always been the behaviour?

Can I highly recommend it is changed?!

Disabled expressions referencing a comp layer should still update when renaming or replacing the reference layer.
