Essential Graphics Panel - no cursor in Text Field with 1-2 lines

This issue with no cursor showing up in Text Fields is just too much to bear any longer. I'm wondering if it's my set up or no one has noticed (highly unlikely) - very intriguing. 

Can we get a quick fix on this (if others notice this issue) because it's really infuriating, having to work this way.

    Hmmm ... so ... you fixed it TWICE.

    And now we have two cursors?  😄

    This issue has been fixed in the 25.3 version of After Effects.
    Please let us know if you continue to see this error after updating to 25.3 or later.

      Until a fix arrives, I've been hitting the Enter key, to add extra lines cos the missing-cursor problem occurs when you only have 1-2 lines. 

      On the EGP showing the Primary Comp instead of the Active Comp, for me, the current design is how it should be - it allows a user to populate the EGP with properties from other comps which is how we create an Essential Property.

      If you haven't done so, get used to using the Open in EGP Shortcut/Command. This is where/how you select a timeline property and hit the Shortcut and it opens the EGP ... AND ... sets the EGP's Primary Comp to the Active Comp.

      There are two other Commands/Shortcuts related to the EGP - 
      Essential Graphics Panel - this selects/opens the EGP with the Primary Comp set the the last Primary Comp selection.

      Add to EGP - This allows you to add selected+supported properties to the EGP

      So, if you're going to use the EGP a fair bit, you'll want to have these Shortcuts set up for these Commands.

      • Issue - Field for the Source Text shows no Cursor
      • Adobe After Effects version number 24.1
      • Operating system win10
      • Steps to reproduce - drag and drop Sopurce Text onto the Essential Graphics panel. Type some text into it. To test how long a name or word can be its unpeasent without a cursor blinking.
      • Expected result - blinking cursor or show both lines
      • Actual result -  I have no irea where the cursor is.
      • AND it would be nice if the Essential Panel shows the open/active Comp. not the one which is selected in the drop down menu "primary"
