Flickering Bug After Effects

Okay, so I have a huge problem that I've been trying to fix for days, whenever I click on anything inside of my project the whole screen just flickers and when I use effects, it flickers, basically just when I do anything, it flickers like crazy, even when I'm previewing. There's a video attached to this post where you can see the problem, I really hope someone can help me🙏

Update: I updated After Effects to 25.6 today and the flickering has finally stopped. Very relieved, as working with the software had become almost impossible.

Yes still having an issue, and it's actually causing me eye pain and making after effects completely unusable. Does Adobe have support I can contact?

Maybe this is just Windows 10 flickering problem. However, what I can't understand is why this happens on some computers and not on others (running the same OS and the same AE version)...

Good afternoon, I am also having this issue. The IT team of my organisation have looked at my laptop and all drivers are up to date, yet this issue on After Effects remains. Does anyone know if we can contact Adobe for support on this?

A quick update to my previous post. I've just tried AE on a colleague's computer. We have exactly the same desktop computers and the same version of AE. However, they are running on Windows 10 and there was no flickering.

Hi all,

I'm having the flickering problem too. Here is a screen recording - AE Flicker. As you can see, the flickering occurs when the mouse moves over the comp and when objects are manipulated.

I've tried updating to the latest version of AE - 25.4.0 (Build 86) and clearing media and disk caches. Nothing has worked so far.

My system specs:

Dell Optiplex Tower Plus 7020
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

Graphics - Intel UHD 770 128GB

Primary Drive - 250GB

Secondary Drive - 2TB

So the graphics card is not ideal. Also, the machine has recently upgraded to Win 11. Never saw this problem with Win 10.

Maybe these are clues to the root cause?

Any help appreciated!

Just wanted to report that I had an update to my computer last night that seems to have fixed the problem:

THANK YOU. The Nvidia G-SYNC was making my comp look like it was it was in 15fps when at 60, i disabled it and it's completely fine now. This has been bugging me for about a week, thank you so much
