Graphics Issue: Black Composition Panel
I have been having issues with my graphics. Problems that have manifested include the composition panel appearing black in both After Effects and Premiere Pro, pattern preview not showing in Photoshop, and Photoshop crashing when I use the liquify filter on RGB mode (on CMYK, it says "Liquify is capable of utilizing the graphics processor on RGB files to increase preformance. The color mode you have chosen will not utilize the graphics processor" and works just fine). Right now, I am most concerned about fixing the black composition screen in After Effects, but fixing this will likely resolve the other issues. These things have never worked before, so it is not a case that they have suddenly stopped working. I would like to learn After Effects, but not being able to see the video is obviously a roadblock (I did make sure content was on the timeline). I have previously reached out to Adobe and NVIDIA support, but neither of them were able to fix the issue. I wanted to try asking the community as well.
Off the top of my head, some things we have already tried: reinstalling the NVIDIA driver, reinstalling adobe software, pushing back to previous software versions, assigning NVIDIA graphics for the program settings in the control panel, and some graphics settings in the adobe software itself (although I cannot remember what exactly at the moment).
Adobe support found a band-aid solution when they installed the Microsoft Basic Display adaptor over my NVIDIA under Display Adaptors in the Device Manager. This appeared to resolve all these issues; however, my computer could no longer detect my Wacom, and I obviously need my NVIDIA. Still, this does seem to point to being a general graphics issue.
Some information on what I am using: Victus 16, Windows 11 Home 24H2, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, Adobe After Effects is version 25.5.0. If any other information is requested, I will add it to this post. Any help is appreciated!
