I'm getting 'Disc cache folder drive full' message on startup but hard drive has plenty of space

Every time I start up After Effects I'm getting the 'disc cache full' pop-up box (see screenshot) - yet my cache is empty and my hard drive has space on it.

Screenshots showing that my disc cache is set to 92GB and my hard drive has 220GB of free space.

Any chance you have iCloud enabled that is controlling your Desktop and Documents folder? Shown as off in this picture? There appears to be something that can cause iCloud to report as having no space available to After Effects.

Nope. iCloud Drive is off and not controlling anything. I’m still getting this message in After Effects.

That's not ideal. What are your system specifications, remaining space available on your disk, and what’s the maximum disk cache size in the After Effects settings? Also, can you check if you run After Effects in Safe Mode, and if you still get the messages?
