in advanced 3d, some of the features do Not work

 text does not work in advaced 3d when i try to connect it to a path (like a circle’ and it doesnt turn 90 degs)

it also doesnt accept some of the light features/ (when i have 3 texts layers one beneath another only the bottom one works with the light)

    We’d love to collect a bit more information on your situation. Can you tell us which version of After Effects you are using? You can find it via Help->About After Effects on windows or After Effects->About After Effects on mac. (It will open up a title dialog with the phrase “version 2x.x...”)

    As for the light issue you are reporting, can you describe what you are seeing exactly in your scenario? Are you working with cast shadows? Perhaps a screenshot of you composition would be helpful. Thank you!

    only 1 text recieves spot light (all others are the same features)

    We just tried connecting a path to a text layer, and it works. I’d have to take a closer look at your project.

    But before that, one more troubleshooting step. I see that your text layers have effects applied to them. Advanced 3D generally don’t support effects on texts (only a very few). Can you disable the effects and see if:
    1. The black text layers light up
    2. Connecting a path works
