Keyboard shortcut remapping issue

Hi Adobe, after updated to After Effect V.26, one of my keyboard shortcut has been broken by the latest Parametric Mesh feature.

I’ve customized my “Add to Render Queue” button to "Shift + D” to my workflow, but the latest Parametric Mesh uses this shortcut. I tried to remap the Parametric Mesh to “Shift + option + D” but it keeps overiding and remapping it back to “Shift + D”. I have no choice but to remap my own shortcut for the time being, much to the detriment of my own productivity.

This is extremely annoying and I would appreciate a fix as soon as possible, thank you for your attention to this matter!

Shortcut "Shift+D” is broken in AE 2026. It is stuck to the command “Parametric Mesh” and not allowed to be changed.

When you delete it in the Keyboard Shortcut editor and hit Ok to save, it sets itself again.

So we can’t set “Shift+D” to any custom shortcut.

    Hi @studio_0138 and @vobrazovka,

Thank you both again for reporting this issue. We have a fix and it’s in the latest public beta. You can grab 26.2x09 from the Creative Cloud desktop app.

I am used to have hotkey shift+D to “fit to viewer” (because it have unusable shortcut when use Czech regional keyboard mapping - you may to be octopus to reach proper keys).
Homwever with 2026 the shift+D is dedicated to parametric mesh tool.
I tried to remap this to shift+alt+D, but it still returning to shift+D. It did not work when I left the remap window. I tried to manually rewrite aeks file (custom and even the default) but without succes. The shift+D still returning to parametric mesh tool.
What seems uncommon to me is that in aeks file is appearing () empty parenthnes after every try to change this shortcut.
Homewer, the shift+D is not possible to unlink from parametric mesh (which I will need much less time than any other tool). It looks like it is somehow hardwired in AE.
    Custom aeks is attached

    Hi @studio_0138,

Sorry about that. This is indeed annoying and I can reproduce the behavior. You can add a custom KB shortcut for the new Parametric Meshes, but it looks like removing the default one doesn’t get saved in your prefs properly. I’ve opened a bug on this issue.
