Motion paths not visible on Reversed layer

I have an image sequence that I have reversed (CTRL-ALT-R)
When I animate the position I can't see the motion path or the position of the keyframes. 

When I reverse the layerr again (ie back to normal) the keys and motion ttrail becomes visible. 
Is this a bug?
