MP4 export bug

hello, i have rendered to mp4 via both AE render and Media encoder but the files are rendered damaged with black screens. The same files can be renderered lossless to avi without issues. And if i convert those avi files to mp4, the result are damaged files again.

I have tried to render another project in mp4 but they are damaged.

i have uninstalled and installed AE back but it is still not working.

Is there any way i can reset or reinstall the codec for mp4?

Hello Nishu, thank you for the reply, i have tried software encoding, but not good.
I tried an older version (25.0) but still not good.
Strange indeed, the problem seems to be with h264 rendering only

Software encoding also renders a black or damage video. the sound is ok though.

That's strange! What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and version of After Effects? In the Export Settings in Media Encoder, go to Encoding Settings and change the Performance to Software Encoding.

Let me know if that brings any change.

Thanks,
Nishu
