Need to be able to cut audio at zero crossings

Because frames and audio bitrates almost never line up, After Effects really needs the ability to transition audio at zero crossings. As it is today, one will almost always get little clicks and pops as a frame ends but the audio waveform is not at zero.

It would be very nice to have the ability to have a frame fade-out/in so that audio levels will be at zero near the end of the frame.

Having audio pops it truly annoying and to combat them one must export the waveform, edit it separately in Audition and import it into AE then turn off the original footage's audio.

This has caused a lot of negative client feedback and makes producing high-quality cuts difficult.
