New computer - render queue UI is laggy

Hi,

 

I just upgraded my computer from an old 4930k to Ultra 285k.  I have 196gb of ram, 2x 2070, all m2 ssds.

 

I upgraded to AE 2025.  Everything is running much faster than before, which is great news.  The only issue, is that the render queue window is very laggy.  When I press Ctrl - M, it takes a few seconds for the render queue to appear.  Also, when scrolling through older renders, it's very slow.

 

This seems odd since everything else is working as it should. Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks, I was able to start in safe mode.  It did not solve the issue.  Do you know if the render queue UI is slower in AE 2025?

    We're investigating another UI related issue where scrubbing the playhead is laggy. Can you check if you're getting that as well? Please share a screen recording to help us understand the issue better.

    Another way to start in Safe Mode is to go to Settings/Preferences > Startup & Repair > Repair Options > Start in Safe Mode….

    It'd be really helpful if you could share a screen recording of the issue to help us understand it better. You can try running After Effects Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled for testing. If it works fine in Safe Mode, you may need to reset the preferences of After Effects.     Thanks for the reply.

    Unfortunately, I can't lauch in safe mode. Tried ctrl alt shift, tried
    shift only, I never got to safe mode. Is there a bug with AE 25.1 and safe
    mode?
