Number 1 refuses to change to specific font

I'm trying to set my font to Trade Gothic Next LT Pro Bold. The text is "1. Touchscreen". The 1 is acting so bizarre. It will change to any weight of the font except for Bold or Heavy. Even if I have all of the text selected and change it all to Bold, the number is the only character that will not change. (screenshots attached) And it's just those two weights. It will change to any other weight in the list.

I've even tried typing the number in the middle of the word, and it will either switch to the default text (Myriad Pro) or the previous weight I used.

And it's just the number 1. I tried typing all the other numbers, and it only switches font when I type the 1. (Screenshot attached)

@Kevin-Monahan

Is this bug not well-known among Adobe team members? It has been a major pain for our organization, which is reliant on After Effects for our product offering. I've also seen multiple threads in multiple locations spanning years regarding this very issue. I'll attach an image below here: This is the Rubik Medium font, installed via Creative Cloud. The problem characters are defaulting to Myriad Pro. This is an issue with every font installed in every capacity, whether it be Windows or Creative Cloud or any variation. It is nearly impossible to reproduce consistently, and occurs in about 3% of our automated renders and there is no error message for us to check. We are at a loss in trying to fix this. We've tried every method you can imagine, to no avail.

We're unable to just reinstall the font or close and reopen, as we run our renders via the command line. Do you have any knowledge about Adobe's response to this critical bug?

Hi @christinep90384033,

I read about your issue. Can you try reinstalling the font? It may be corrupted. I hope the advice helps. Let us know! Sorry for the problem.

Thanks,
Kevin

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the specific weights and the glitch has gone away.
