OpenSans variable does not work in AE 26.5 - after effects does not see it

I have project made in AE26.3 where I am using varible OpenSans font to achieve decided effects. After I updated to AE26.5 it is not working and OpenSans variable is not installed / seen by AE. Other variable fonts are, but not OpenSans. Only fixed weight variant is available.
It also show missing OpenSans Roman variable - I do not know why roman, but I believe that should be the problem - wrong indentification.
But until it will be fixed I have to use older version, sadly..

I got an answer from Discord.
It seams that they need more info and a sample project to check what is wrong.

Hi @vobrazovka

Do you have the font installed “in Adobe & other local apps”?
You can check this in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Sometimes I have such problems with other Adobe apps – they just stop seeing a font used in the previous versions. According to the names, it should be the other way around but it often helps to install them like this.

It is instaled directly from explorer to system. I did not try instaling it over adobe fonts as it was not recomended by sysop in this case as we use it also in other apps and the adobe fonts instalation was not reliable for some. In AfterEffects 26.3 it is working perfectly, i was forced to downgrade as I had also another troubles with latest release.
Creative Cloud app just shows that font is already instaled, nothing more.

Oh, I see. If you initially installed it outside the Adobe environment, it should work. Have you maybe tried After Effects newest Beta (vrsion 27.0)? If they both fail to see the font, then this is definitelly an app bug.
