Parenting bug Ae 25.6

Hi. I’ve encountered an annoying parenting bug in my project. I created a simple position animation on the parent layer, and when I try to adjust the keyframes on the timeline, the child layers behave as if I never changed the keyframes. Even when I try to unparent them, they still move as if they’re still linked to the parent layer.

You may want to try re-setting preferences and see if it helps.

To reset After Effects preferences, close the application, then hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift on Windows or Command + Option + Shift on Mac while reopening it to bring up a dialog box to confirm the reset. This process will delete the current preference file and launch After Effects with its default settings, which can help fix issues.
