precomping behaves strange in AE 26.5

Maybe it is normal behavior, but I never met it yet.. When I am precomping layers and want to make the new composition as long as selected layers, I am epxecting one layer on the place I had old layers, not trimmed, not offseted.. In 26.3 it does the same as I now checked.
When I try to precomp layers and choose adjust precomp lenght... it behaves strange. The precomp is trimmed and offseted. Maybe because the comp time does not start at 0:00:00..
I paste two images.. before and after precomping of selected layers..

    Sorry to hear about the issue, vobrazovka. Could you check specifically:

    1. Does the trimmed precomp's duration match the parent comp's duration (as sskaz asked), or is it something else?

    2. Does the same behavior reproduce in 26.3 with the exact same test setup? Best to test in a saved copy of the same project on both versions.

    3. If possible, can you share the project file with me so that I can test (media is not needed)? Feel free to share it via DM if you prefer not to share it publicly.

    The bottom layer in your first screenshot extends left before your comp’s start time, and in Pre-Compose dialog, you have “Adjust composition duration to the time span…” checked. Uncheck that and it will use the same start and duration as the parent comp.

    Not sure about the trimming, that looks like a bug. Does the trimmed duration match the parent comp’s duration?

    I’ve been using the rd_precompose script instead of the built-in Pre-Compose for the past decade, so this is slightly out of my wheelhouse. rd_precompose has been rock solid for me.
