Preview is stuck in a loop and is unresponsive

17.0.4 (Build 59)

Doesn't stop playback immediately when pressing the Space bar. Instead, there is a several second delay before playback stops. That never used to happen. This started after I updated to the latest version, 17.0.1. Please fix.

RAM Preview causes entire program becomes unresponsive to clicks, spacebar, Num0, ESC, etc. Playback continues on loop and the only way I've found to regain control is to minimize/maximize AE.

Yep. Me too. Loops round and round and round and round. Hitting minimize and waiting a few seconds seems to stop it.

I'm seeing the same thing, but without the improvement to preview speed 🙄

I have to force-close the program in order to get it to stop.

Are there specific steps to reproduce this? Also, what is your system configuration?

Same problem here. Audio in particular just loops forever with no way to stop it.
