Preview render now clunky

Before previous update, preview render worked fine. Now, it is slow and clunky... I need to purge ALL before it works like it used to. Please fix!!!

Clunky means it's not working as it should and as it had before latest update. And by latest update - look in CC and you'll find it. After previewing a comp a couple times, it slows to a crawl when internally rendering - but if I purge it renders fast like always, and like it did a few ago before the update. Nothing new in my system (specs don't matter at this point) other than the updated app.

What does clunky mean? What version were you on? What version are you now on? What are your hardware specs? What Operating System?
