Quick Apply: Partial match search does not work in Japanese (v26.2)

I would like to report a problem in the Japanese version of After Effects v26.2.

The new "Quick Apply" feature does not support partial match search for Japanese characters. It only returns results for an "exact match," which significantly hinders the workflow.

In the "Effects & Presets" panel, partial match search works fine in Japanese. Please update Quick Apply to support the same Japanese search behavior as the existing panels.

Thanks for reporting this.

This issue has already been addressed in the Beta version, where partial matching for Japanese (and other CJK languages) has been improved. So this does appear to be a limitation in the current release rather than something specific to your setup. Check out this thread for updates.

It's great to hear that the Japanese partial matching is improved in the Beta. I’ll check it out if I can, but I'm also looking forward to seeing these improvements in the next stable release.
