replace footage is not replacing name in project

I've been having this bug for a while now and i can't seem to find any info on it.

When I use replace footage on a simple photo and replace it for another photo with another name the picture is replaced but the name of the picture is still the name of the previous picture.
This is driving me nuts because for my project I have to replace a lot of persons/pictures and I have to rename each file maually because of this.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
