Second frame of comps not rendering on 25.01

I switched to v25 in the desperate hope that it would solve the unusably slow interface in 24.  It's not faster, AND it caused some major problems.  What is going ON at Adobe?

With some comps, after working on them for hours, suddenly the second frame won't render.  Seems to be mostly when I have an adjustment layer at the top, but it's also random.  I have updated my graphics drivers, tried 8bpc + 32bpc, tried software rendering, tried purging.  NOTHING works (other than starting a new comp and copying everything over.

I'm so sick of this.  I love hours a day to this damn company, and I'M paying THEM.  Stop adding all this AI garbage and fix the software that we depend on.

I'm on Windows 10.  Can't upload any specific details of the project because of NDA.

I'm sorry, but I just don't have time to troubleshoot your software for you.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in a real discussion from a person who has been using this software for many years.  But what you're shipping right now just isn't cutting it.  This is just the latest problem in a series of showstoppers that cause me to lose hours and hours.

I think the higher-ups on the adobe team owe the user-base some honesty and transparency.  A lot of us are looking for an off-ramp, these days.

We'd need some detective work to figure out what is happening here. The next time the issue happens can you:

- Try purging, Edit -> All Memory & Disk Cache. Are you working with the Advanced 3D renderer? If so try purging 3D cache. Do any of those help?
- Open Preferences -> Memory & Performance , and copy and paste here what is in the Show Memory Usage Details panel and the GPU Information panel.

- Try opening up in Safe mode and see if that helps. Preferences -> Startup & Repair Start in Safe Mode...
- Try disabling any third party effects youre using and see if that is the source of your problem. Effect -> Effect Manager.

- Try to ascertain if there is any common thread or pattern to the failures. Eg. does it happen only in compositions that include 3D? Has it ever happened when you haven't had an adjustment layer?
- If we can figure out consistent reproducible steps that causes the issue, that will give us a chance to solve it, so please keep in mind what you're doing right before it happens, then try and do exactly that again and see if it happens again.
