Some weird shape layer gradient fill bugs happening in AE 26.0 (adding random knots to gradient fills)

Attaching a screen record showing this bug. For some reason AE is adding random opacity knots to my shape layer gradient fills. This happens regardless of whether the gradient has keyframes set or not. This is on AE 26.0 on macOS Tahoe 26.2

Steps to reproduce: Create a shape layer or layer style with a gradient → open gradient editor → set colour and alpha stops to different positions (more colour stops than alpha stops) → click OK → re-open the gradient editor

Expected: stops remain at the positions set, with colour and alpha ramps independent. (This was the behaviour in AE 2024 and AE 2025.)

Actual: AE 2026 has inserted additional alpha stops at each colour stop position, forcing the alpha ramp into sync with the colour ramp. The reverse does not occur - extra colour stops are not baked to match alpha stop positions.

Environment: Mac OS, tested AE 2024, 2025, 2026
