Team Project won't open in After Effects but will open in Premiere

Hi there--

I've encountered a bug while working on a team project with some coworkers.  We're been editing in Premiere and adding in motion graphics through After Effects as usual, but have recently found that After Effects will no longer load up when we try to open the team project through it.  The program will begin to load, but gets stuck on this step:

 

 

The odd thing is that we are able to still open up the Team Project through Premiere without getting stuck on this step, but we're completely locked out of AE.  Luckily we have been doing local backups every night in case of something like this happening, but I'm at a loss for what to do.

 

I've reset preferences, tried starting it up in Safe Mode, recreated the Team Project as a new file, and reinstalled AE.  Everytime it's the same; It'll open in Premiere but not AE.  I've tried accessing older TeamProjects through AE and they're able to open, so I have no idea why this one would be any different.  It is making it impossible to collaborate with my remote team, but I haven't been able to find any solution anywhere else on the Adobe forums.  Anyone have any ideas?

 

I am working on Windows 11 with AE 24.3

Thanks for the suggestions.  Multiple times I've kept the program open for longer than 10 minutes, even giving it an hour once during my lunch.  The program never crashes, it just stays stuck in the same area as the above photo.  I forgot to mention but I have tried accessing different versions of the file through auto-saves, but each one now expereinces the same issues.

Thank you for that. A couple of thoughts:

 

* If you wait 5-10 minutes does the project ever finish opening? If there are dynamically linked sequences or AE compositions in the project, there could be a delay while the apps open in the background to load those up.

* Is there any crash or is it just that the opening dialog and progress bars never completed?

* You may also be able to open a different project (doesn't have to be Team Project), then use the Media Browser to find the problem Team Project, and use the Auto-Saves or Versions tab to roll the project back to an earlier revision, or save an earlier revision as a new Team Project

Could you enable logging (Help -> Enable Logging), reproduce the issue and then collect the After Effects Log.txt file (Help -> Reveal Log Files) and then post the log file back here?

One more thing:  I've also tried opening the file with all plug-ins, Adobe or otherwise, disabled.  It still does not work, but I figured I'd mention it before I get a response suggesting that.
