Terminal Render gives error "Illegal Hardware Instruction"
I'm unable to use 'aerender' for a terminal render for After Effects versions 24.1 thru 24.4.1. But it does still work when reverting back to AE version 24.0.3 or prior.
Operating System-- Mac OS Sonoma 14.5
CPU--Apple M1 Max (Macbook Pro)
This is especially puzzling because my Apple M1 Ultra (Mac Studio) doesn't seem to have this problem at all. It seems to be specific to these versions of AE and only on my Macbook.
Running this standard line (with a path to the project):
/Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ 2024/aerender -project yields an error: "Illegal hardware instruction"
Although this gives the expected result so it's not like 'aerender' is broken on the one machine:
/Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ 2024/aerender -version
I have uninstalled AE and removed all library files and plist files. But the only thing that seems to make a difference is reinstalling AE version 24.0.3. This a viable workaround, but I don't really want to be stuck in that version permanently.
