Text selector not working

Hi, AE will not let me select all of my text with my cursor no matter how hard I try.

I downloaded the latest beta and this issue still persists. This basically inhibits me from doing any work efficiently being that I work with a lot of text on a daily basis.

Please fix this very BASIC and core issue. The stability and updates for AE and Premiere have been extremely disappointing lately.

It feels like you people just stopped caring about your user base.

    The fix for this issue has been included in the latest release of After Effects 2023 (version 23.0). We appreciate you taking the time to report this issue.

    Malcom, you need at least Beta version 23.0.0.25 to get my fix for this.

    Please confirm the version that you downloaded is earlier than that - and if it is - then get a later one.

    Hi Malcolm,

    This has been a really frustrating issue, we totally agree, especially as it regressed and we have had to find other solutions. The good news is the fix just went into the beta build today. So once you see the new build go live, please download that and let us know whether that has solved the text selection for you.

    I'm sorry you feel like we don't care, I can personally promise you that's entirely not the case. Thank you for writing in with the bug - getting feedback on what isn't working or on feature requests helps us guide the work we can be doing to make the most impact for our users. We may not always get the chance to write back, but I can assure you we are reading and we care.
