Tools in my toolbar keep disappearing and constantly bring up errors

As we all know, After Effects is in serious need of fixing. This is happening daily now, tools in my toolbar that I’ve installed either disappear or trigger this error:

 

“Unable to execute script at line 0. After Effects error: Cannot run a script while a modal dialog is waiting for a response.”

 

This never used to be an issue. I’m on version 25.5.0, but the software continues to be unreliable.

What can I do to sort this out?

Hi @James25435457i8d8,

 

This is an error generated by a script that's failing to properly run. My guess is that you have a workspace with a panel docked and either the script is broken, a resource has moved, or something else. 

 

Do you have any blank ScriptUI panels docked or floating in your workspace?

If you switch to a default workspace, does the error stop?
