unexpected data type error after update to 23.2.0 (Build 65)

I updated to AE 23.2.0 (Build 65) this afternoon.

Some existing projects will not open. An "unexpected data type" error occurs, and the project terminates.

There are some 3rd party plugins that are missing (Light Factory & Optical Flares), but previous versions of AE were able to open these projects and allow me to edit them.

I've reverted to AE 23.1.0 (Build 83), and the projects open successfully.
