Using Rounded Corners on a simple stroke - but it's ignoring some of the vertices

I've not had an issue adding rounded corners to a stroke before... been using the same technique multiple times until this suddenly occurred.

Made a stroke with several right-angle corners

Clicked 'Add' and selected Rounded Corners

Changed the value to my desired roundness (in this case, 71)

And only SOME of the vertices are becoming rounded... 

 

This is new to me. I've purged memory. Restarted (both Ae and computer). 

 

Maybe I'm missing a simple detail? Any thoughts?

    Hi @snazzyjer13, thank you for taking the time to tell us about this issue and providing us with screenshots and your file. We are currently trying to fix this problem. In the meantime there is a work around that you can do:

     

    1.  Go to the pen tool and hold it down until another menu appears
    2. Select the Convert Vertex Tool in the new menu that appeared
    3. Click on the corner that did not get rounded out with the Convert Vertex Tool

    Let me know if this doesn't work on your end and I can try to upload a video for you

    Adding a project file below - using v25.4.0

     

    I created a few strokes and applied the same rounded corner add to all. Some have the effect within the shape itself; some have it applied outside the shape, but that doesn't seem to affect the problem.

    The issue isn't replicated consistently. You'll see each line features different results - some have no corners rounded, no matter the radius; some have only some corners rounded; and one worked perfectly, even though it's the same basic path as one that didn't work properly...

    All have same radius applied, and all were drawn with the pen tool, then Rounded Corners was applied.

     

    Curious if you have any luck replicating on your end within this project file?

    Thanks for sharing the file. I can reproduce the issue on my end in your file, but I can't reproduce it in a new project. I've filed a bug for the issue so that it can be investigated. Thanks for your patience.
