Using "Shift+ / (output: | ) as a Keyboard shortcut will not allow you to type that character.

• Issue 
  •  -- Can’t use “Shift + \” as a keyboard shortcut for split comp viewer and lock without breaking the ability to type “|||||||||” 
• Steps to reproduce:
  • ​​​​​​​Set New locked comp viewer to “SHIFT + \”
  • New Type Layer
  • Attempt to type the characters --- ||||  
• Expected result - Type layer takes precedent and types out |||||||.
• Actual result - Comp viewer splits many times. 
• Adobe After Effects version - 26.0.0
• Operating system -MacOS 26.3.1
• Video format - n/a

Workaround -- switch to default keyboard map so you can type properly or copy paste from another app…
