While opening AE received the following warning:

After Effects warning: The following plugins have failed to load. Please reinstall these plugins:

[insert long list here]

clicked through OK

Was then greeted with the following error:

After Effects error: Couldn't find main entry point for [plugin name] (48:: 72)

I followed the path to investigate:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/

But found that there is no Plug-ins folder in the Common folder.

After a search on Adobe Community I have found fixes for PC users, but not for macOS users.

my details:

After Effects 25.2.0

Apple M2 Max

96 GB Memory

macOS Sequoia Version 15.3.2

We have seen reports of this recenly as people are upgrading MacOS versions. Make sure you are looking in the root /Library/ not the one inside your user folder to find the plugins.

It sounds like from Maxon's investigation on trapcode that it is requiring users to manually delete the plugins and reinstall them.
