When exporting mp4s in After Effects or Media Encoder the color profile is missing when using a PC. The problem does not happen when using a MAC. This is particularly important when working on Digtal OOH screens.

I have assigned the profile to REC 709 Gamma 2.4, but the Metadata of this is missing when exported as a MP4 on a PC.

Hi, thanks for the report.

I've seen a similar before.

A few details that would help us diagnose the issue:

1. Your exact AE and AME versions.

2. Your Output Module settings when exporting the affected MP4s (color management tab settings).

3. If you have a sample file exported from PC and one from Mac (same source, same settings), sharing both would let engineering compare directly.

Hi Nishu,

1. I’m using 25, but I’ve also tried 26 & Beta versions of After Effects & Media Encoder.

2. My color is set to 16bits, Trilinear, Rec.709 Gamma 2.4.

I check the metadata in VLC.
