when i add lumetri to a .heic file in adobe after effects 2025, it stretches the whole image

when i add lumetri to a .heic file in adobe after effects 2025, it stretches the whole image. i’ve encountered this a few times in the past. Happy to upload a picture to show you, but i cannot post it to a public forum. I then took a professional picture downloaded from Getty images and applied lumetri to it, and it too became stretched. (but if i delete lumetri and try colorista, it doesnt stretch the photos). Lumetri should not be warping/stretching the photo.
