Zoom in scroll not working

In the most recent updated of Adobe After Effects, version 25.3.1 (Build 3) the zoom in and out feature using the Option+scroll shortcut is no longer working. It's incredibly frustrating. Is there a solution for this issue or a a way to restore the feature?

The new zoom system (https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-beta-discussions/new-in-beta-welcome-to-smooth-zoom-in-after-effects/m-p/15164528) introduced some preferences on how zooming works by default. I think you may just need to change from Panning to Zooming. Read the linked article for more information.
