Hi all,

The behaviour of the zoom is reversed.
When “centered” it follows the cursor and viceversa.

Hi Davide, I tested this on my end and the zoom behavior is working as expected. So it may be specific to your setup or a particular tool being active.

A few questions to help narrow it down:

1. Are you on macOS or Windows (with version)?

2. Your exact AE version (Help > About).

3. Have you tried running AE in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled to see if the behavior changes? https://adobe.ly/4ypsAPO

4. Is any specific tool active when the reversed behavior happens (Pen Tool, Selection Tool, etc.)? We had another user recently report reversed behavior specifically when the Pen Tool was active with an open path endpoint selected — worth checking if your scenario matches.

Hi Nishu,

It's the same behaviors on my two pcs. They both run Windows 11.
I'm on the home pc now, which I don't use so often. I have Windows 11 Pro v.25H2. Here I have AE v. 26.3.0. I'm updating to v. 26.5.0 right now and… the behavior is the same.
This happens no matter what tool I have selected.
If I start in Safe Mode with third-party plugins disabled, it is still reversed.

Is it because I have a Wacom tablet?

Not a big issue. I just thought I could have told you. It's been a while though, I think since you introduced the smooth zoom.

Thanks for the follow-up, Davide.

Wacom drivers do modify input events for pen/scroll interactions, and could plausibly reverse the zoom center behavior. I'll let the team know about it.
