Can't start Ae Beta: Debug Event

Hi all!

I'm always on the newest Beta, but never can start it. I sendet die report, no response.

I deinstalled it, but it does not matter. alwys that Debut Event, then the Bug report window

    I deteted the folder; nomore Debug Window, but did not start.

    I reinstalled it; now it works!

    Hi @moebius90009,

    Thank you for reporting this issue. If possible, could you copy the full text in that dialog with the "Copy" button, and paste it here? It would be helpful to be able to see the full stack trace to determine which function calls are leading to this assert.

     

     Additionally, you could try deleting the sdm_dictionaries folder inside the Support Files folder, located here if you've installed After Effects (Beta) in the default location on Windows:

    • C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects (Beta)\Support Files\sdm_dictionaries

    After deleting that sdm_dictionaries folder, you may need to re-install. It's possible there is some bad data cached in that folder that could have persisted between installations if not deleted manually.
