Cannot use text animation presets

Anytime I try to apply a previously made text animation preset or one built in from Bridge, it gives an error:

"After Effects (Beta) error: Can't import file "Text-Fade in-out.ffx": unsupported filetype or extension. ( 0:: 1)

This is a deal breaker for me, I absolutely need these presets for my main client. I had just started trying beta as the current version is nearly impossible to use with shape layers causing a pinwheel every time I touch anything. Please fix ASAP.

Oh yes, this issue was resolved a few beta versions ago, thank you!

Hi @jackthegiantkiller,

Thanks for reporting this issue. This should be fixed in the latest Beta builds, please give it a try and let us know if you still cannot apply presets from Bridge.

Thanks again,

Interestingly, I can take one of my previously made presets I've applied to text in a comp, select and save it as a preset and then it works from there on out. This is a workaround and I can recreate most of them. Just to add some positivity, so far I am really loving this version of AE, mostly runs super smooth on my M1 Max and none of the pinwheeling shape layers etc I was experiencing before!
