Color picker slow and glitchy

I'm using this example because it's easiest to reproduce, but this bug exists everywhere the color picker is seen.

 

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In AE, composition settings (Cmd-K),
  2. click on background color swatch to open "Background Color" picker.
  3. Try to select new color by dragging around the small circle inside the main color swatch area
  4.  Try to type numbers into the fields

 

Result:

• causes that selection circle to snap back to where it was.

• numbers enter VERY SLOWLY into the fields (may be part of the larger issue with SLOOOOWWWWW typing everywhere in AE)

 

Expected: to be able to select a color!

    Application: After Effects (Beta) v23.1.0.37
    OS: macOS v11.7.0, RAM: 64.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

    Hi @JohnColombo17100380 - it appears the bug went away in the new version of AE v23.0.0.59 and the AE beta v23.1.0.44

    Hi @andrew.hoeveler,

    Thanks for reporting this issue. Is this still occurring for you in the latest builds of After Effects (Beta) 23.1.0.44? It might be related to some changes around script calls from extensions that was causing some instability and sluggishness.

     

    Please let us know if you're still experiencing this issue in the latest Beta builds.
