Dragging Mesh Warp points always "drops" the points

I'm using Mesh Warp a lot on my current project, and it's infuriating how every time I drag one of the Mesh Warp points, after about 1 second of successful dragging, the point gets "dropped" and just stops moving, as if AE has said "you've had long enough to position this point, THIS is where it's going".

Obviously the point should remain "live" for as long as I'm dragging it around. (And I'm not dragging anything weird - I have a 2 x 3 grid on a 1080x1920 comp which has 2 layers, both of which are reasonably sized).

This bug exists on both the Beta version and the latest public release.

I think I'm able to reproduce this. Will see what's going on...
