Moving simple shapes in the composition updates seconds after

Hello.

I'm writing from a Mac Studio M1 Ultra 48-Core 128GB, on macOS 12.3.1

After Effects Betta 22.4.0 (Build 32).

I'm noticing the composition (working in simple 8-bits per channel) being very slow to update even when performing some very simple changes, like moving a very small and simple png layer in the comp.
You can see an extreme delay between me moving the file and the file being actually moved.
Sometimes the delay is as long as 5 seconds, which is unbearable in a normal workflow.

Hey John.

To be fair I switched to the native 22.3 version (non beta) of AE, which is remarkably stable.
I'm not experiencing this issue in the 22.3 version.

By the way thanks for the availability during the last weeks.

Hi @Filippo Marchetti,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Are you still experiencing this slowdown with the latest Beta build, version 22.5.0.1? We are aware of a similar slowdown when the new Properties panel is open, but your case looks a bit more extreme. Could you provide more details about your display settings and project settings? And are you running natively or under Rosetta?
