odd cache behavior during timeline previews

Hi , I'm getting some odd cache functioning when previewing advanced renderer timelines.

The cache isn't accumalating as normal and also it seems to be 'adding' to memory each time it repeats a frame , buffer errors perhaps ?

I'm enjoying the 3d object import btw thanks!

Hi there John

I've played about trying to isolate the issue and it seems this occurs only with a precomped layer containing 3d objects that has time remapping on it. I tried with non 3d objects and it was fine. It appear to be doing the same behavior with time stretched precomps containing 3d objects also. I'm happy to share a log file, where can I do this ?

Hi @hughspeers,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Does this happen in all projects or only certain ones?

Would you be able to share a log file with us to try and shed more light on the issue? To enable logging:

  1. Choose Help > Enable Logging, then relaunch After Effects.
  2. Open your project and preview to demonstrate the issue.
  3. Go to Help > Reveal Logging Files and grab the "After Effects Log.txt" from the logs folder in one of the Explorer windows that pops up.

Thanks for reporting this issue and for any further information you can provide,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team
