PP to AE dynamic link blank composition

Hey everyone,
I’m running into a strange issue. When I select a clip in Premiere Pro and use “Replace with After Effects Composition,” it opens After Effects but creates an empty comp,no media, no layers, nothing.

I’ve already tried restarting both apps, saving my Premiere project before linking, and making sure I’m selecting an actual video clip (not an adjustment layer or nested sequence). Still the same result.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what could be causing it?

Specs:

Premiere Pro version: Latest Beta

After Effects version: Latest Beta

OS: Win 11

    Hey, i probably have the same issue, how did you activate it?

      Oh nevermind, it was because "New Masking" wasn't enabled in After Effects. Dynamic Link works for me now after enabling it and no longer just gives me an empty comp.

      Yup, happens to me too. I'm assuming it must be a bug in the latest version. Strange that nobody else seems to have reported it.
