Using a group in the Essential Graphics Panel will delete keys on opening the file

I know, I shouldn't use the Beta for real work, but I do ... until sth breaks. 😅
(Well, I had to re-render a couple of clips as my modular graphics got reset to default.)
Found a super crazy bug, but at least happy, that I found the cause.

So, try this:
First, the working scenario:
I have the source text hooked up via Essential Graphics. Just having them as single entries within the Essential Graphics Panel. I put that comp in another comp and change the text / values and create keys to be super save. Now I save the comp and reopen it: All good.
Now, time to break it:
I create a Group via Formatting in the Essential Graphics Panel and put the previously created text entries in the group. Now I save the file and open it in the Beta: The keyfames are gone, my text Essential Properties are reset to default.

I attach two aep projects:
Disappearing Keys Check - fine without group in EG.aep
Disappearing Keys Check - breaks with group in EG.aep
When you open the files in AE 2024, everything is fine, but when you open them in the AE Beta, in the "...breaks with group..." the keys will be gone.
[24.2.0 (Build 30), but already happened in the recent previous Beta versions]

Thanks

Thank you for re-confirming, Lars. I've verified that the bug was introduced in recent weeks.
I'll report back with news as soon as I have it. 🙏

Beta only, official release works fine. Thanks Dacia!
(I already mentioned this in my post, but ... pretty much at the bottom, when talking about the attached projects. 😉

Thank you for reporting this issue, @Lars Jandel!

I'm confident I know the culprit. But can you confirm, are you able to repro this in Beta only or also in the release version of AE.

Let me verify on my end and hopefully the fix will be as easy as pulling a recent check-in out.

Thank you so much,
