Problem with microphone connection (Adobe Audition)

I bought a new laptop with Windows 11. I updated everything, installed everything. Does not work connecting external microphones (usb and loop). At the same time in the programme Adobe Audition (and similar) slider on the timeline moves jerkily, but the record does not go. That is, as I understand, the programme does not see audio devices (they appear in the Device Manager, but do not work). If I replace the original installed Realtek HD audio driver with Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, the usb-microphone is connected and Adobe Audition works. But the looping microphone still won't connect. Besides, Sound Mode in MyASUS settings stops working - it has a very beautiful surround sound, as for a laptop. This section with sound settings simply disappears from the programme! So I understand that the problem is in the drivers? But they're official.

I've tried default drivers from Windows, from Asus site and even with the help of special driver search programmes on the net.... It doesn't work. On my old laptop with Windows 10 all this worked.

Please help me with advice.
Sorry for my English, I use online translator.
Regards

I've tried both, neither work.

Are you trying to record in Waveform or Multitrack?

Thanks for getting back! I've already done that too. Still doesn't help.

Check your security settings. This is increasingly becoming an issue, and you may find that you have to either give Audition permission to use your mic, or the other way around.

I'm having very similar issues. Have tried contacting Logitech, thought it was my old Yeti microphone, I bought a new Yeti X, still the same problem. I've contacted Windows, no resolve. Contacted Adobe, no help. I took a break from podcasting for 2 years due to a contract dispute, have gotten a new Asus Vivobook since last recording, now on Windows 11. And used to use Adobe Audition on an older Asus laptop with no problems. Now, Audition does not see the microphone despite setting the Audio Hardware and Mapping settings correctly. I've been trying everything for weeks. Very upsetting since I announced on social media the podcast would be back the first day of football season. Any help would be much appreciated.

Greetings, everyone!
Dear Abhishek, yes, my computer fully meets the requirements of Adobe Audition and even more.
As for the devices used, they are specified in my first post. All settings were standard. But of course I used other settings, but nothing helped. I wrote about jerky movement of the pointer during recording - I realized that this is a problem of wrong settings. When I change them, the smoothness of movement returns, but the problem with sound recording does not disappear. I was able to make a recording once, poor quality, after forcibly changing the driver as I wrote above. But since it degraded the normal sound playback on the system, I rolled back. At the same time, I use my microphones with other programs, such as Sound Forge - the recording is excellent. And on an old laptop with Windows 10 everything is OK.

SteveG_AudioMasters_, yes, maybe the problem is in the configuration. But I was surprised that it was the Adobe support representative who told me about the compatibility problem. It's inexplicable...

I also wrote to my laptop's ASUS support. They said there is no hardware problem as all ports are working. To which I said that my experiments with drivers showed that there is still a problem. They wrote that they will think about it.

I don't have time for experiments. I just write sound when I need it in Sound Forge.

Thank you for your participation.
Respectfully...

I have to say, from my own experience, that if there appear to be issues with Audition and Windows 11, it's more likely to be a configuration problem of some description on your machine. Despite my misgivings about W11  - and I have a few - Audition is working fine on it.

Good afternoon everyone. On the recommendation of the community, I wrote an email to Adobe Customer Care Team. They responded quickly - said that at the moment there are compatibility issues between Audition and Windows 11 64 bit. They promise to fix it in the next update in about two months.

Seems to make sense... but surprising. Windows 11 has been out for a long time and everyone who has Adobe Audition is on Windows 10? Very strange...

Ok. I'm writing the sound in Synde Forge.

Thank you all for your participation.
