Sporadic glitches in sound when using Match Loudness

Hi,

We use Audition for batch converting our mixes to R128. We sometimes encounter glitches in the output files. It means we can't rely on using the software without checking every single output file, which obviously isn't desirable.

As it is a random error, I can't say how to reproduce it. We experienced it on both Intel and Sillicon machines though.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks for getting back in advance.

Adobe Audition 2024 has been doing that randomly with Match Loudness, Speech Volume Leveler, and even with standard cross-fading of clips. Adobe Technical Support has, thus far, been at a loss about it.

Some have found success with this method: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/intense-noise-after-track-picked-up-in-other-programs-after-match-loudness-or-changing-amplitude/td-p/11884910 Though that won't help with file creation acts like Mixdown or Match Loudness to new files.

If that doesn't work for you, can you downgrade to a previous version of Adobe Audition?

Here's the instructions for downgrading:
