Adobe Bridge drastically reduces my Internet speed when it is open.
With Bridge closed: approximately
180 Mbps download / 250 Mbps upload
.With Bridge open: approximately
40 Mbps download / 80 Mbps upload

The problem occurs with both
Bridge 16.0.3.21 and 15.1.7
.
I tested:
Photoshop alone: no problem.
Reset Bridge preferences: no improvement.
Startup scripts disabled: no improvement.
Windows proxy disabled.
Blocking Bridge.exe in Windows Firewall: no improvement.
No network drives or folders configured in Bridge.
The problem is confirmed with both Ookla and Eolo Speed Test.
Very unusual behavior:
opening
Edit > Preferences > Advanced
temporarily restores normal Internetspeed (around 200–300 Mbps). Closing Preferences immediately reduces the speed again.
The problem is reproducible every time.

    I have now identified that the problem is specifically related to the Folders panel.

    With Bridge open and Window > Folders enabled, my Internet speed immediately drops to about 40 Mbps download / 80 Mbps upload.

    If I disable Window > Folders, the speed immediately returns to about 200 Mbps download / 300 Mbps upload.

    The problem occurs with both Bridge 15.1.7 and 16.0.3.21. I have also completely uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge, but the problem remains.

    I have tested with both Ookla Speedtest and Eolo Speed Test. Photoshop alone does not cause any slowdown.

    Could you please investigate why the Bridge Folders panel causes such a significant Internet speed reduction on Windows 10?
