Bridge

Bridge has become wildly unstable on my system. I can’t reliably do ANYTHING - delete a file, open a file in Camera RAW, etc.

Bridge + RAW crashed my system hard yesterday, actually re-booting me.

I couldn’t do anything in Bridge, not even click on the menu. I un-installed and re-installed Bridge. Cleared all my caches. Got it to work again.

However, it had re-arranged all of my stacks. I had 100 - 200 of them, with my favorite shots on top. (1,2,3,4).
When I got Bridge to open again, the top of each stack had been moved to the second spot.
(2,1,3,4)

I spent forever re-arranging things and then, when Bridge hung/crashed the next time, the were back out of order again.

Now, Bridge hangs ALL THE TIME. Right-click on a thumbnail - it hangs. Try to delete a file - it hangs.

I’m editing a wedding and I’m at my wit’s end.

I uninstalled Bridge and installed a previous version and it’s currently working but … it’s REARRANGED MY STACKS AGAIN!!!!

I have lost track of how many times I’ve promoted the circled photo to TOP OF STACK, either by right-clicking or by dragging it, and when I open this directory … it’s been moved to 2nd position again. This is happening to dozens and dozens of stacks of photos. The TOP photo is always moved to the 2nd position.

    What the heckin’ heck?

I am not familiar with your CPU but a quick spec. check shows that it does have onboard graphics. As a first, check in Device Manager that this is disabled and that your RTX 5080 is set to handle all graphics capabilities. Otherwise you are effectively running two GPUs which is well known to cause serious issues with Adobe Apps. This of course may not be the route cause of your issue but it is certainly worth looking into.

This isn't a bug but a serious performance issue. How about some system details otherwise help is difficult to offer?
